Christmas comes alive at the inspiring Precious Moments Chapel when over 50,000 sparkling lights illuminate the Chapel and grounds. Located in the scenic foothills of the Missouri Ozarks, the Precious Moments Chapel has welcomed millions of visitors over the past 30 years, including the thousands that have joined in the splendor of the Annual Lighting Ceremony tradition.
Activities begin at 5:45 pm with Joette Blades of Carthage leading Christmas carols in the Precious Moments Visitor Center Atrium. The ceremony begins at 6:15 pm with the lighting of the candles, followed by Timmy the Angel leading the procession to the Precious Moments Chapel. Inside the Chapel, Ted Easley of Joplin will provide a devotional entitled ‘Tis the Season for Giving and Joette Blades closes the ceremony with a solo. A limited number of Lighting Ceremony passes are available inside the Precious Moments Visitor Center beginning at 5:30 pm. Passes are required for entry into the Chapel during the ceremony.
Thousands of families over the past 30 years have included the Precious Moments Chapel as part of their holiday traditions. Make your Christmas Lighting Ceremony celebration complete by dining at Taste of Italy. Located beside the Precious Moments Visitor Center, Chef Aleksander Sula offers authentic Italian cuisine. From 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Friday, November 22 all dinner guests will receive a free dessert with their meal! Restrictions apply. Reservations are strongly advised for groups of six or more.
